Dennis Wilson “Castles in the Sand”

Dennis Wilson, son of a Pentecostal preacher, made his way to Nashville ten years ago looking to make his mark . After banging on doors for a while and writing some big songs, his music took him out of Nashville to Tampa and eventually to San Antonio Texas. He would have never guessed that Texas not Tennessee would be the place where it all the came together.

His new album “Castles In The Sand”, cut on this SIZE 10 Records release and produced by George King, promises to be the surprise country music release of the year.

The title cut and music video, is an emotional tribute to our men and women in uniform, as a father and patriot tells his 11 year old daughter that he is not just fighting for his country but he is fighting for her. The music video “Castles In The Sand” is touching the hearts of thousands who love freedom and believe in our men and women in uniform. Producer and co-writer George King says: “Dennis Wilson is a very gifted emotional guy who brings not just his skill but his heart onto the stage and into the writing room”. King has been involved as a song writer, producer or executive producer for records that have sold more then 30 million units including the smash Bob Carlisle hit “Butterfly Kisses”.

The real surprise is that the title cut is just the tip of iceberg for this collection. The entire 11-song project gives us a glimpse into the heart of Dennis Wilson, a common man with an uncommon talent. Each song seems to be torn from the pages of DW’s life as he tells us stories about love won and lost, with songs like “He Sent an Angel My Way” - which is destined to become a wedding standard, “Starting All Over”, and “Heaven Must Have Smiled On Me”. His love of country and what it stands for is punctuated in “Follow the Dream” which joins “Castles In The Sand” in saying what is truly right about America. There are two songs, “Gotta Get Away” and a cover of “Spirit in the Sky”, that just plain rock!!! Finally Dennis tips his hat to his roots as he tells of a faith that has stood the test of time in “Faith of My Father” . He closes the album with the haunting “Hand of God”.

When Dennis sings you can still hear some of that little boy who sat on the front row as a boy and on the back row as a teenager at his daddy’s church, who finally left a farm town in Indiana to bring the world some music.
